Our family chefs focus on preparing healthy meals for you and your family. Our chefs do all the cooking in your home. We like to cook vegetable-packed and nutrient-rich dishes that comply with any food choices/intolerances/allergies needed to best meet your family’s needs.

Family Chef Visits

Our visits are generally 4 hours in length and we cook 3 dishes (single or double batches). If there’s any extra time we love to throw in a breakfast or snack dish too. In advance of each visit, we’ll collaborate with you to build the menu for the visit, offering suggestions with different flavor profiles and types of cuisine as needed to keep the menu fresh and varied.

Once we determine the menu, we’ll create a grocery list to determine what you have in the house and what we’ll need. We’re happy to do the grocery shopping for you for an additional fee.

To get an idea of the types of dishes we cook, we’re happy to send along our meal options. We can pull from our menu, suggest other ideas, or cook a recipe you love. It's super flexible! As far as cadence goes, we have clients who work with us twice a week, once a week, once every two weeks or even once a month. We often recommend starting with once a week for a month to see how it feels. We want it to be a super helpful service for you and are open to feedback to making it so!

Nutrition Support

It is rare that there is a more nutritionally demanding time during a woman’s life than during preconception, pregnancy and postpartum. Nutrient-dense foods and whole food supplementation are needed to nourish and prep your body. Everything mama does from preconception through postpartum affects the health of the baby. Nothing can replace the benefits of a healthy diet and lifestyle during pregnancy, including the right supplementation and self-care practices.

A nutrient-dense diet is important during the preconception, prenatal and postpartum periods. Eating a balanced diet full of carbohydrates, fats, protein, vitamins and minerals helps to ensure that all essential nutrients are available to the body. This helps contribute to the growth and development of baby and nourishes mama. Eating properly during pregnancy and postpartum also helps with your body’s ability to repair itself after giving birth.

Good nutrition should continue into the 4th trimester, after you have given birth and in the postpartum period. Sometimes eating well can be the first thing sacrificed when a new baby is home. This is unfortunate because proper nutrition and nutrient-dense foods are a preventive and health boosting measure against emotional distress and exhaustion. A nutrient-dense diet is also important for proper healing of the body and offering optimal nutrition to your little one!

A holistic and functional nutrition consultant will provide guidance, instruction, education and be a true partner in your journey to enjoying your new baby and finding optimal health and nutrition.  Reach out through the interest form at the bottom of the page if you’d like to be connected with one of our nutritionists.
