Courtney Barber

Postpartum Doula

She/Her

I’m Courtney, a labor and postpartum doula based in Aurora, Colorado. With over 4 years of experience, my passion for birth work stems from my own transformative experiences with pregnancy, labor, and motherhood. I’m deeply committed to empowering families, offering compassionate guidance through every stage of the birthing journey.

As I was a young teenage mother 13 years ago, I understand the challenges of navigating birth and early parenthood, particularly without a strong support system. This experience has shaped my approach, motivating me to be a reliable, nurturing presence for families during both the highs and lows of their journeys.

After attending the Baby-Led Birth Doula Workshop in October 2024, I’ve expanded my training to include lactation support. I’m always striving to deepen my knowledge because I believe that every birth is unique and deserves tailored, thoughtful care.

My approach is grounded in respect, empowerment, and providing continuous care. Whether you’re planning a home birth, hospital birth, or something in between, I’m here to offer emotional, physical, and informational guidance throughout your experience. I want to help you feel empowered to advocate for yourself, make informed decisions, and ultimately have the birth experience you’ve envisioned.

Having personally navigated the challenges of motherhood, I’m a firm believer in the power of community. It takes a village, and I’m passionate about fostering a sisterhood where women uplift and support each other. My goal is to be part of that village, offering nonjudgmental, loving care every step of the way.

Outside of my doula work, I enjoy hiking, yoga, and walking my dog with my two sons. These activities help me stay grounded and bring balance to my life and my practice.

Courtney is available for:
