They/Them

Mar is a graduate student studying towards their Masters in Public Health: Maternal & Child Health. They received their undergraduate degree at Colorado College, integrating reproductive work, holistic practices, and community health. Furthermore, Mar is a professional birth worker with over six years of public health experience. They are a facilitator, community wellness practioner, birth-worker, and a forever learner. Excelling in their interdisciplinary approach to community health care and its relation to trauma with a black feminist lens. In addition, they are alumni of The Colorado Institute of Massage Therapy, now specializing in NeuroMusclur Therapy, Prenatal massage, trigger point, and integrative techniques, to name a few.

When working with Mar, whether it's massage therapy session, birth support, and/or postpartum support, you are invited to center YOU. Sessions involve taking a holistic and trauma-informed approach - threading information from every facet of your experiences to understand where you are currently and how to get you to where you may seek to go.  Mar honors the process and has no issue returning to the drawing board; honey healing is a continuous life journey. In summary, working with Mar is like nurturing a community garden with someone, having that friend there to assist, hold, or hype you up whenever necessary. Yet, gives you the space to expand, grow, and lead your individual experience. Revealing to you how the healer all along has been within YOU."
